BCV is a local NGO established in 2007 to share resources, ideas, skills, and technologies that would enable the views of the local communities and the indigenous community members to be heard through community media centers and local development initiatives in Cambodia. The 4th strategic plan 2019-23 was finished and there is a strong need to build a new 5th Strategic Plan from 2024- 28 by looking at new trends of development nationally, regionally, and globally. Building upon the success and best practices in the past strategic plan, this forthcoming plan will deep into a new and innovative approach that guarantees the quality of service and sustainability of the organization. At the CBO’s level, BCV will be deepening community business and development models where communities will lead and become a center of sustainable development and contribute to the national government development agenda.
In the past, BCV has been working to support Indigenous Communities Empowerment, and livelihood development through Savings, Rice banks, and agriculture development within the target communities in Ratanakiri, Mondulkiri, Pursat, and Kampong Chhnang provinces.
This 5-year strategic plan, 2024-28 will strongly focus on Agriculture, Natural Resources Management (NRM) and Land rights empowerment, market system/ Market Value Chain intervention, and social inclusion for equitable and sustainable development in Cambodia.
