Building Community Voices (BCV) is a vibrant and pound Cambodian NGO and aims to promote the collective voice of marginalized people in order to enable them to secure, empower their community and build up capacity to claim their rights. BCV now is seeking for a qualified Cambodian national to fill the position of Project Assistant based in Kampot Province.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prodide assistance to the Project Coordinator to conduct trainings/workshops for community facilitators
• Support the Project Coordinator to manage public forums, dialogues, and radio talk-show programs to ensure that governmental authorities get information and knowledge concerns of community
• Present BCV programs to all levels of local authorities and community
• Help Project Coordinator with data collection for analyzing BCV’s effectiveness in the community
• Provide support to Project Coordinator in monitor community’s media production such as radio program, Facebook news articles and video productions.
• Organize visits and field assessments for community facilitators
• Share information and experiences of BCV with partners
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator with making monthly and quaterly plans and schedules for the team of community facilitators
• Report to the Project Coordinator

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree and significant NGO experience
• Experience in peace-building or conflict resolution is a plus.
• Understanding of implementing community development
• Willingness to do field work and sometimes stay in villages
• Good at English, speaking and writing
• Good attitude, willingness to give/receive feedback, understanding of teamwork
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• Competent planning, managerial, and computer skills
